InfantSEE

The American Optometric Association (AOA) and The Vision Care Institute of Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, Inc., have partnered to create InfantSEE®, a no-cost public health program developed to provide professional eye care for infants nationwide. Through InfantSEE®, optometrists will provide a one-time, comprehensive eye assessment to infants in their first year of life, offering early detection of potential eye and vision problems at no cost regardless of income.

The InfantSEE® program:

Provides no-cost access to an eye-care doctor who has the instruments and resources not available to general-care doctors like pediatricians and family physicians.

Detects potential problems that, if undetected, may lead to learning and developmental issues later.

Gives new parents the peace of mind that their infant’s vision is developing properly.

InfantSEE affords a one-time, comprehensive eye assessment at no cost for infants in their first year of life.

Pacific Optometry is a registered InfantSEE program location.

May UV Awareness Month

May is UV awareness month! Protect your eyes with appropriate uv shielding glasses or sunglasses. To shield your eyes from dangerous UV rays, select sunglasses that completely blocks all UV rays. Stick with shades labeled ''UV 400'', which means that they block all light rays with wavelengths up to 400 nanometer.

We offer a range of UV blocking technology in our office. We provide sunglass tints, polarized lenses, uv blocking lenses for clear eye glasses, and transition lenses. Transition lenses quickly adjust to changing lights to help protect  your eyes from harmful UV rays.  These lenses change from clear for indoors and dark for outdoors. Transitions block 100% of the sun's harmful UVA & UVB rays and is available in gray or brown.
